    This is a very small book consisting of two essays by Dr. Beard, and the essays are quite good for what they are. Dr. Beard is a classicist, so I guess we should expect her to dwell on what was true in ancient Greece, etc. The material needs to be modernized, and the Freudian gobbledygook needs to be removed. I don't want to sound too harsh because I enjoyed reading it, but it was not what I expected.
